Project Linus is a nationwide, non-profit organization.
The Sacramento chapter has been in existence since 1997.
We cover Sacramento and Placer counties. We are looking for volunteers to make handmade blankets that we give to children in need.

That includes children in hospitals, in foster care, homeless, or just going through a difficult time. We give blankets to children from neonatal age to 18 years of age. We accept knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, and no-sew fleece blankets. This is a wonderful project that is ideal for someone at home who would like to give back to the community while doing something fun. It's also a great community service project for school-age children, church groups, 4-H, or Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.

Contact us anytime to get a packet of information about us! And stop by and see for the National Headquarters site! is also the home of the California Capitol Cknockers – crocheted and knitted prostheses for women going through breast cancer surgery or survivors who would like a much lighter alternative!

See for more information.
